How can you pay?
Bank transfer — full payment or a 50% deposit
You will receive our bank details after placing your order. You can pay the full amount upfront or pay a 50% deposit, with the remaining 50% due before dispatch . We begin production once your deposit has cleared. Please use your order number as the payment reference.
Make your payment in the currency of your order to the corresponding account: EUR to our euro account and PLN to our Polish złoty account.
Online payment
You can also pay online through Autopay. The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. With this option, the full order amount is paid upfront.
Klarna and instalment payments
Depending on availability, you can also use Klarna or an instalment payment option. Available options and terms for deferred payments and instalments — including any interest-free offers — are shown at checkout. Availability depends on your country, currency and the payment provider. Finance approval is subject to the provider's decision.
How much does delivery cost?
The cost depends on the furniture you choose, its configuration, the delivery destination and the contents of your order. The product page shows a delivery price or an estimated price range for one item. The exact delivery cost for your entire order is shown in the basket once you enter your delivery location , before you confirm your purchase.
Please make sure the correct delivery country is selected. If the product page shows a price range for European destinations, it is an estimate rather than a confirmed quote for your address.
If you order several products, the total delivery cost may differ from the amount shown for a single item. Please check the final delivery total in your basket.
If you order wood samples together with furniture, please also check their delivery cost. The reduced sample price does not mean that their delivery is free.
When will your furniture arrive?
You will find the estimated dispatch date on the product page for your selected configuration. The production lead time starts once your deposit has cleared. Lead times for bespoke orders are agreed individually.
The estimated dispatch date indicates when your furniture will be ready to hand over to the carrier. It is not the date your furniture will arrive at your address. Please allow additional time for transport.
International transit times depend on the destination, the size of the furniture and the transport arrangements. Contact us if you would like to confirm the estimated transport time for your address.
Unless otherwise agreed, our terms allow for an extension of up to 15 additional working days beyond the stated production lead time.
Need your furniture by a particular date? Contact us before ordering. We will check the production schedule and delivery options for your destination. You can also ask us about furniture with shorter lead times. Always check the current estimated dispatch date on the individual product page.
What does standard delivery include?
Standard delivery does not include carrying furniture into your home or assembly. For pallet deliveries, the carrier needs safe access to a suitable unloading point that can be reached with a pallet truck. Standard delivery does not include carrying furniture upstairs or placing it in your chosen room.
If your address has restricted vehicle access, steps leading to the entrance, a gravel driveway or other unloading restrictions, please let us know before ordering. We will check the delivery arrangements with the carrier.
If you need help carrying your furniture inside or assembling it, please contact us before ordering. We will check whether an additional service can be arranged for your destination and confirm its cost.
Will your furniture need assembly?
This depends on the model. Some pieces arrive fully assembled, while others are delivered in parts for self-assembly. You will find information about your chosen product in the FAQ tab on its product page. Please also check the assembly instructions for your model before delivery.
How should you prepare for delivery?
- Check the width of doorways, staircases and lifts, as well as the space needed to move your furniture into your home.
- Make sure the carrier can safely access the delivery address and unloading point. Tell us about any access restrictions before placing your order.
- Arrange help with carrying your furniture inside — solid wood furniture is heavy.
- Inspect the packaging when the shipment arrives. If you notice any damage, take photographs and ask the carrier to record it or complete a damage report.
- Unpack carefully to avoid damaging the furniture's surface. If you notice anything concerning after unpacking, contact us with photographs and your order number.
Delivery to your country

International transit times depend on the destination and transport arrangements. Please contact us before ordering if you need your furniture by a particular date, require help carrying it inside or would like to confirm the delivery arrangements for your address.

Of course! We specialize in producing personalized solid wood furniture and have our own carpentry shop, so we can customize the dimensions of our furniture.
Where can I view the products?
You can see our furniture in Krakow at our carpentry workshop and in our partner showrooms in Poland and abroad. All showrooms are listed in the locations tab.
What is the furniture made of?
Our products are made of solid wood, primarily oak, but also American walnut and ash. For interior parts, such as drawers, we often use hardwood plywood.
Can I choose a different material than what is on the website?
We are open to using other types of wood, but we do not make furniture from furniture boards.
How to choose the color of furniture?
We offer oak in seven shades, from bleached to graphite, and we also use American walnut. You can view all colors and materials in the wood tab. You can view the stains at our Krakow facility, at one of our partners, or order samples for home use.
Is the entire product range available in partner showrooms?
Our partner showrooms only have selected products on display, but all products can be ordered from any partner, even if they aren't physically present. Information about the displays is available in the locations tab.
Are 3D product models available?
Yes, we have 3D models of all our products. If you are an architect or distributor, please contact us using the form.
Will I receive a visualization of the selected product before ordering?
Due to time and technical constraints, we only create visualizations of highly customized designs. Our software doesn't allow for the application of specific textures, so we don't create visualizations of products in a specific wood color.
Does the TV cabinet have holes for sockets?
No, our cabinets do not have holes for sockets - but we can make them for you anywhere, just send us a drawing.
What is the difference between a brushed and a smooth-sanded tabletop?
Brushing involves removing the soft tissue of the wood, giving it a visible and tactile texture.
Both finishes have the same gloss level – semi-matte – and are sealed in the same way.
The advantages of brushing include reduced susceptibility to minor scratches, reduced visibility of fine scratches, and better oil absorption.
The disadvantages of brushing include the inconvenience of writing on a single sheet of paper (a pen gets caught in the grooves) and the inability to refinish the tabletop yourself (a brush is required).
Brushed tabletops look more natural than polished ones, but due to the more rustic character they give the tabletop, they don't match all our furniture models, so we only offer this surface finish on selected tables.
Impregnation
How is furniture impregnated?
Our furniture is coated with oil wax. Oil wax is a colorless coating based on natural oils and waxes, specifically designed for the professional finish of floors and other heavily used wooden surfaces.
Oil wax creates a microporous coating that protects the wood while allowing it to breathe freely. This regulates moisture absorption and release and helps maintain a favorable indoor climate.
What are the benefits of wax oil?
Furniture coated with wax oil has a natural look and is pleasant to the touch. Unlike varnishes, wax oil doesn't create a hard, artificial coating on the wood, allowing you to feel the natural grain of the wood. Wax oils, as the name suggests, are a blend of natural ingredients such as oils and waxes (including beeswax). They are completely safe, non-toxic, and have European certifications that allow them to come into contact with food and children's toys. Wax oils effectively protect against stains, such as those from wine or coffee, by creating a hydrophobic barrier that protects the wood from moisture.
When you buy furniture, you want to use it, and use naturally leads to some wear and tear. In the case of varnished surfaces, if the coating becomes damaged, sanding and refinishing by a carpenter is necessary. Refreshing an oiled surface is exceptionally simple, and it's a pleasure to do it yourself. What's more, if you get a dent on your furniture, you don't have to worry. Even deeper dents can be removed with an iron. Simply moisten the area with a damp cloth, apply an iron, and allow the steam to push the wood fibers back into place. After smoothing the surface with sandpaper, simply reapply the oil and wax, and your furniture will be in perfect condition.
Does the furniture need to be re-oiled?
Oiled furniture should be re-impregnated. If dull spots appear on the surface, the countertop loses its shine and smoothness, or liquids are absorbed instead of pooling on the surface, the countertop should be immediately re-oiled. Failure to follow these recommendations can result in permanent stains from the staining substances and streaks! Impregnation should be performed once a year or more frequently.
Can I order varnished furniture?
Yes, we can varnish our furniture upon special request, but the production time will be slightly longer and the price will be 5 to 15% higher depending on the product.

You can buy the impregnation oil from the manufacturer (Osmo) or from us (care kit).
Placing an order
How can I order furniture?
You can order our furniture by placing an order online at www.szyszkadesign.pl, via email to sklep@szyszkadesign.pl, in person at our factory in Krakow or from one of our distributors.
Can I change the dimensions of the product?
Yes, you can change the dimensions of the product. To do so, please email sklep@szyszkadesign.pl or contact us via the contact form.
Can I change the color of the furniture?
We offer oak in seven shades, from bleached to graphite. You can view the colors at our Krakow facility, from one of our partners, or order samples for home use. If that's still not enough, send us a sample of your material and we'll match it to the color!

Can I order a completely custom design?
Of course! We specialize in producing personalized solid wood furniture and have our own carpentry shop, so we can create a design just for you.
Production process
Where is our furniture manufactured?
Our furniture is manufactured in Krakow. Upholstered and steel components are outsourced to local companies with whom we have been working for many years.
What does the production process look like?
Our production is based on individual orders, and each product is made to order. This makes our production highly flexible. You can view the detailed production process here.
Can I choose the wood grain and the amount of knots?
We take into account customer preferences regarding wood selection (smooth knotless, rustic knotty), but due to the nature of our production process, the customer does not actively participate in the selection of a specific grain.
Order fulfillment and delivery
How long will I wait for the furniture I ordered?
Our furniture is handcrafted from scratch, from raw boards, to specific, individual orders. This is a time-consuming process, so you'll need to wait approximately 40-60 business days for your furniture, up to a maximum of 90. You'll receive information about the estimated delivery date immediately after placing your order.
What is the shipping cost?
Shipping costs are determined by product and destination and will be calculated in the shopping cart after entering your postal code.
Can we arrange a delivery date?
Due to the size of the product, we always inform you about the delivery date and arrange a time together. However, delivery times are often beyond our control, so we recommend allowing a two-day window to receive your delivery
Does delivery include carrying the furniture inside?
Standard delivery is to the kerbside and does not include carrying the furniture inside. If you need this service, please contact us before ordering with the products you wish to purchase and the delivery address. We will confirm availability and the cost.
Can I postpone the delivery date?
If, for any reason, you are unable to collect your product on the scheduled delivery date, please contact us as soon as possible. We will easily store your furniture while you are away. However, please note that if you fail to notify us of your absence and do not accept your shipment, you will be charged for a re-delivery.
Can I pick up my order myself?
We absolutely encourage you to collect your order in person. As soon as you receive notification that your product is ready, you can schedule a convenient pickup date.
Payment
How do I pay for the products?
You can pay for your online order using fast Autopay payments (blik, Apple Pay, card), Klarna deferred payments and traditional bank transfer.
Do I have to pay for my order in advance?
Due to the nature of our work, we require a 50% deposit, but this option is only available with traditional bank transfer. Quick payments require payment of the full amount upfront. You can also take advantage of Klarna's deferred payment options.
Can I pay upon delivery of the product?
Unfortunately, due to the specific nature of our production and dimensions, we do not ship goods cash on delivery.
Returns and claims
Can I return a product?
Our products are made to order, so in accordance with the Civil Code, we do not accept returns. The exceptions are products from the accessories section and clearance items.
My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
First, inspect and unpack the shipment in the presence of the courier. If the product is damaged, complete a damage report with the courier and contact us as soon as possible.
How do I report a problem with my furniture?
Please email a description of the problem and clear photos to reklamacje@szyszkadesign.pl.
What are the warranty terms?

How to care for and impregnate wooden, oiled furniture?
After applying the oil-wax, the surface will only reach its full hardness after approximately 4 weeks. During this time, avoid contact with water, cleaning products, and liquids. Proper use of the furniture during this period should be undertaken with caution. After a month, the first maintenance treatments can begin.
To remove dust and minor stains, we recommend using a soft, slightly damp cotton cloth with a small amount of a product designed for oiled wood (e.g., Osmo 8026 Spray Cleaner or Osmo 3029 Wax Cleaner and Care). Avoid vigorous rubbing, as this may cause discoloration or lightening of the surface. Always wipe the surface in the direction of the wood grain. To maintain the furniture’s aesthetic appearance, clean only when absolutely necessary. This will ensure the furniture looks its best for a long time.
Oiled furniture should be re-impregnated regularly. If dull spots appear on the surface, the countertop loses its shine and smoothness, and liquids are absorbed instead of pooling, immediately apply a new coat of wax oil to the countertop. Failure to follow these recommendations may result in permanent stains from staining substances and streaks! Impregnation should be performed once a year or more frequently.
You can purchase wax oil from the manufacturer (Osmo) or from us (care kit). Instructions for applying clear wax oil (Osmo 3058):
1. Remove any dirt with a damp cloth or the aforementioned product.
2. Lightly sand the wood surface with P240 sandpaper. Sand the wood with the grain – sanding across the grain can cause scratches.
3. Wipe the countertop with a damp cloth to remove sanding dust.
4. Apply a thin layer of wax oil with a cotton cloth, ensuring the entire surface is completely covered.
5. After about half an hour, gently wipe off any excess oil-wax with the same cloth.
6. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Ensure good ventilation in the room.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 two or three times until you achieve a satisfactory result.
8. After the final coat of oil-wax has dried, polish the entire surface along the wood grain with P600 sandpaper.
